Joe Toscano: What’s On Parler “Is On Every Other Social Platform On Earth”

On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, former Google consultant Joe Toscano, who was featured in the documentary The Social Dilemma, explained why the decision to ban the social media platform Parler from various platforms was misguided.

“The same content that’s on Parler is also on Facebook and Twitter and YouTube and 4chan and Reddit and every other social platform on planet Earth. Why didn’t they get pulled down? Clearly something in this was a political moment. I believe, personally, it’s because it’s not necessarily politics, but actually revenue. I think these companies thought this is the perfect moment in history to make what you would call a strong PR move, standing up for society. In reality, it looks like it went the opposite direction, right, Twitter? I think that these leaders of these companies are so out of touch with the day to day society and with their communities that in following the revenue, they’re starting to make decisions that really don’t make sense to society. And they’re so detached that they don’t realize it to their stock fumbles, then they’re like, oh, shoot, we have to do something different.”
