Steve Cortes: Twitter Censorship Is “A Danger To Our Republic” & “Open Election Interfering”
On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Trump 2020 Senior Adviser Steve Cortes address how the Trump campaign, White Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, and the New York Post all had social media accounts blocked for sharing a New York Post story about Hunter Biden and the Ukraine.
“It’s outrageous. Think of what they have done in the last twenty-four hours. First, they made it impossible for any of us to share the New York Post story. And by the way, not that Twitter should be judging this kind of stuff anyway, but The New York Post has an amazing history, centuries old paper founded by one of our founding fathers, Alexander Hamilton. I think it’s the fourth biggest circulation in the country. This is not some wacko newsletter that somebody publishes out of their basement. And won’t allow us, suppresses a story by not allowing any of us to be able to post it and share it on social media. Then goes even further and actually suspends the very Twitter account of the New York Post itself and then went further than that. They actually shut down the White House social media access. The Press Secretary of the United States had her Twitter account suspended. And then today, I’m speaking from campaign headquarters, when I got in very early this morning, I found out that the Trump War Room and the Trump online accounts, which have millions and millions of followers, were suspended for sharing this information. It’s just outrageous. It’s open election interfering. These companies are dangerous. These are monopolies that pretend to be neutral platforms. But in reality, they very much have an agenda that are very narrative driven and they have an enormous amount of power because of the monopolies that we’ve unfortunately allowed them to impose upon this country. It’s a danger to our republic, and I don’t think I’m exaggerating to say that.”
