Marc Thiessen Previews “Higher Stakes” Vice Presidential Debate
Marc Thiessen, columnist at The Washington Post, a Fox News contributor spoke with Fox News Radio’s Guy Benson about the Vice Presidential Debate between VP Mike Pence and Senator Kamala Harris. Thiessen previewed the debate by saying,
“I think it’s a much higher stakes debate than any previous vice presidential debate. There was a Rasmussen poll this summer that showed that 59 percent of Americans expect that Joe Biden will not complete his first term in office. That’s a very large even if even if that’s off by a factor of 10. That’s still a huge number of people who are not expecting Joe Biden to finish his first term. So Kamala Harris, for all intents and purposes, is is running, as you know, a nominee for president. You know, 1B right. You know, she has issues that she’s not really running for vice president. She’s running for a successor. And, you know, Vice President Pence, we’ve got he’s representing a president who just was in the hospital with Covid-19 is also, you know, 74 years old. So, you know, you’re really looking at potentially two commanders in chief up there on the debate stage. So I think I think it’s going to be a higher stakes debate than any previous vice presidential debate.”
