On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Trump 2020 Senior Adviser Steve Cortes responded to the Biden Campaign's claims that they never agreed to a pre-debate inspection for earpieces and requested breaks for Biden, despite the debate being a 90-minute, break-free event.

"Look, they agreed to the ear inspection. It's simple, it would have been by third party, not by us. And then they went back on it. Why? I don't know. I mean, they'll have to explain that. But look, regardless of the pre-game tactics, I do believe that there's going to be really a revelation and an unmasking of sorts for the American public of who Joe Biden really is."

"That is what our campaign was told. That's what we were told by the debate commission, that the request was made. I don't there were 30 minutes, but they requested two breaks in a 90 minute session. And we just said no. I mean, absolutely not. The President is more than capable of being on his own on stage for 90 minutes. We're not talking about a grueling marathon of hours and hours. We, of course said absolutely not."
