“Iowa Will Be Sort Of A Test Case” Josh Kraushaar On How Iowa Could Shape The 2020 Election For Republicans
Josh Kraushaar, Politics Editor at National Journal & Fox News Radio Political Analyst spoke with Fox News Radio’s Guy Benson about the 2020 election. Kraushaar explained why he thinks Iowa is the most important state for Republicans to win to have a good night on election night.
“Well, there are two ways of looking at 2020, even if you think that it’s gonna be a tough year for Republicans. The better option for Republicans is that, know, Trump is doing poorly in the suburbs and the areas that have already gone blue. But he’s doing he’s holding onto his base in the working class parts of the country, in the Midwest and the farm belt. And actually, Republicans would have a decent night if they can hold on to the Senate seats in red states, they can hold out to pick up some red state red district House races. And if that environment kind of plays out, Iowa will be sort of a test case for for maybe a better than expected Trump night. You know, he won Iowa by nine points. He should win it again. But polls show the state very close this time around.”
