On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Fox News Contributor Jessica Tarlov explains why having Rep. Val Dennings (D-FL) on Joe Biden’s tick could help him win a very contentious state like Florida.
“What I think is valuable about her experience, first of all, she was boots on the ground. She wasn’t sitting in an office. She worked her way up the system, and I believe her husband is also a cop. She was the first African-American woman to hold that position, it’s obviously a big job in Orlando. And I think it’s a big value add for her case that she knows both sides of the issue. She wrote an op-ed in The Washington Post calling for police reform and making a very impactful argument, as someone who’s experienced the system, who has served in the system as well and can point out racial biases. And I think that that could be used as a strength. And also, Florida is looking like a very serious battleground right now. Biden has a slight edge there, and senior voters are turning on Trump now, Democrats have about a 10 point advantage. So I think that she does have a lot working in her favor.”
