Global Pandemic: Report – A Third of the World’s Children Have Lead Poisoning

Many health emergencies are not getting as much attention amid the coronavirus pandemic, as the medical community has switched its efforts to prioritize fighting the virus. A new UNICEF report says 1 in 3 children have high lead levels in their blood, causing serious negative health effects that may not be seen until later in life. FOX’s Trey Yingst speaks with Nicholas Rees, UNICEF’s Climate and Environment Specialist, on what actions governments around the world can take to address the toxic risk factors that are causing lead poisoning in children.
