Tensions between the U.S. and China continue to escalate. At the same time the Trump Administration has criticized China's handling of the pandemic and its tightening grip on Hong Kong, the Chinese government has sanctioned U.S. lawmakers for highlighting alleged human rights abuses by Beijing officials.
