Bill Bennett, Former Secretary of Education, joined Brian Kilmeade to discuss the need for schools to open up again in the fall. Bennett says the long term price of shutting schools down has done more damage to the mental, physical and social health of students across the nation. Bennett addressed people who are concerned about students being vulnerable to Covid-19. Bennett said that children are more susceptible to the flu than the coronavirus, pointing out that one hundred and eighty six children died from the flu last year and we don’t shut our schools down because of the flu.
Bennett also discussed major colleges either limiting or outright canceling their upcoming sports programs in the fall over Covid-19 fears
