Admiral James Stavridis (Ret.), former Supreme Allied Commander at NATO, member of the Carlyle Group and author of “Sailing True North: Ten Admirals and the Voyage of Character” spoke with Brian Kilmeade and agreed with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark Milley, when he said it was a mistake accompanying President Trump during his walk to Lafayette Square amid protests. Stavridis also weighed in on the debate on changing the names of military bases named after Confederate soldiers. Stavridis believes it is time to change the names of the bases because they took arms against the United States of America and fought for slavery. Stavridis believes we should rename the bases after recipients of the Medal of Honor in Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
