Tom Homan: Poorer Communities Will Be Affected More By Defunding Police

On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Former Acting ICE Director Tom Homan explains why defunding the police will do more harm to at-risk communities than politicians realize.

“They’re the most ravaged neighborhoods. They’re victims of more crime than any of us are. And for those in the suburbs, crime happens there, but more more crime happens in the poorer communities. And the police is what stands between them and anarchy. These law enforcement officers are protecting the community and protecting protesters. And to see even what they call peaceful protesters getting in a police officer’s face, they scream, yell, spit, shove. It’s just so disrespectful for a man who’s standing there just trying to do a job and protect protesters and keep people safe and keep the rule of law. He’s done nothing to deserve that. That man stands there in uniform with a bulletproof vest and a gun and a shield, has done nothing to any of those people. He’s just trying to keep peace, law and order. And that’s what we want them to do.”
