On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) showed his support for governors who have chosen to reopen their states, as well as the protesters who have stood up to governors who have not opened so quickly.

"I'm glad that the President has been leaning into opening. I'm proud of Governor Abbott in Texas and Governor DeSantis in Florida and Governor Kemp in Georgia are leaning into opening. I'm glad the American people have been kind of rebelling against the governor in Michigan and others that have been the opposite. We defeat this through ingenuity, through adaptation, but through sheer strength of willpower, we put a man on the moon, we defeated Nazi Germany, we defeated polio. We're sure as hell going to navigate through this virus with a stronger country if we don't cower in fear. So I think we need that kind of an attitude."
