Special Assistant to the President and White House Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley slammed Obama administration officials for what he called “serious” and “severe” issues with how they handled the Russia probe and the Michael Flynn investigation.
“So many at the higher echelons within the Obama administration knew that this wasn’t going anywhere and was a joke, and yet it kept continuing forward and we deserve to know why,” Hogan said. “The American people have a right to know why people were spied upon, they have a right to know why people high up in the Obama administration and, quite frankly, high up in the FBI were attempting to entrap an American citizen,” he continued.
The Deputy Press Secretary went on to point out that had President Trump never been elected, the American people never would have known about the misconduct. “We wouldn’t know any of this. All of this stuff. The Lisa Page, the Peter Strzok, the coverups of Clapper and Comey and Brennan. All these folks, you wouldn’t have known any of this.”
