Former South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy called in to Brian’s show to react to leaked audio of former President Obama saying the “rule of law is at risk” after the Department of Justice dropped its criminal case against former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.
“Honestly, he’s too smart to say something that stupid. I mean, he just is, Brian. First of all, get the charge right, professor. Get the charge right. It’s not perjury, it’s a false statement,” Gowdy said. “This is the same president that actually pardoned people for lying to the government. This is the same president who issued more commutations of sentences in one day than any person who has ever walked on the planet has done,” he continued.
