Ben Shapiro: Demagoguery On Economic Reopening Amid Coronavirus Is One Of The Most Cynical Things I’ve Ever Seen
Ben Shapiro, Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Wire and Host of the Ben Shapiro Show joined Fox News Radio’s Guy Benson Show to talk about the reopening of the country amid Coronavirus. Shapiro commented on those blaming the economic downturn on President Trump and those who say we cannot reopen the country without Killing older or vulnerable individuals. Saying
“It’s deeply cynical. One of the more cynical moves that I’ve seen is the attempt to suggest, as Joe Biden did, for example, that we were not willing to lose one life for one point on the Dow. Though these are tradeoffs as if we just killed enough people, then we would just add points to the Dow, which is, of course, not how this how any of this works or the or even the suggestion that one side is lying and on the other side is the economy. So the economy is not made up of millions and millions and millions and hundreds of millions of individual lives being affected in deep and profound and insane ways by the lockdowns and by the public policy”.
