Judge Napolitano: Governor Phil Murphy Should Resign If The Bill Of Rights Are “Above His Pay Grade”
On Fox Across America with Jimmy Failla, Fox News Senior Judicial Analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano explained why New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy needs to resign if he did not take into account personal freedoms into his how he was handling the COVID-19 crisis in his state.
“Our fearless colleague Tucker Carlson, the other night, may have destroyed Governor Phil Murphy’s political career, which would be a positive good for anybody in New Jersey, when he said to Governor Murphy, in that Tucker Carlson, sort of sweet way that he can, ‘Oh, Governor, where did you get the authority to nullify the Bill of Rights?’ And the governor goes, ‘The Bill of Rights? That’s above my pay grade.’ Above his pay grade? He took a solemn oath in January of 2018 to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, which includes the Bill of Rights. If it’s above his pay grade, he should resign and get the heck out of there and let somebody who understands what human liberty means fulfill the job.”
