South Carolina Senator Tim Scott spoke with Brian today to offer his thoughts on the media’s role in the daily White House Coronavirus Task Force briefings. Sen. Scott pointed out that the president has actually been offering more deference to reporters who he has previously had contentious relationships with, but added the media is trying to use it as a tool against him.
“There’s no doubt his goal is to make sure the average person in our nation receives information even if it comes from sources that are not his preferred sources,” he said. “As we watch, there is an interpretation gap between what he says and how some interpret what he says.”
