Florida Senator Rick Scott spoke with Brian about ramping up to reopen Florida’s economy and what that would look like. On a proposal to restart elective surgeries in the Sunshine State, Sen. Scott said, “we have to remember why the CDC suggested we don’t have elective surgeries and that’s do we have enough protective gear and are we going to have enough ventilators.”
“Here’s what we have to understand though. When we reopen this economy I’m sure that there’s going to be a need for more protective gear for a lot of different businesses that didn’t do it before. We’ve gotta ramp this up. Every community has got to say to themselves, ‘are we ready to reopen?'”
