U.S. Labor Secretary Eugene Scalia joined Brian Kilmeade to react to the record number of unemployment claims in March. In just the last two weeks nearly 10 million Americans have filed for unemployment benefits.

“They’re, you know, very large numbers,” he said. “It’s disturbing, obviously, to see how many Americans are out of work for what we hope is a short period of time… This is hardship, it’s a challenge. Obviously what reflects is not the underlying economic fundamentals, which have been really so strong, but it reflects the measures that we’re taking to shut down to a large to extent to try to beat the virus.”
