Rep. Lee Zeldin: We Don’t Want To Rush An Economic Fix For The Coronavirus
Jimmy Failla speaks with Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY) about how President Trump can get both sides of the aisle to agree on economic coronavirus relief.
“We have small businesses that choose to close and may never re-open. And the longer this goes, the worse the impacts are for the economy. So on the first part, as it relates to the health care and getting the testing and getting people taking care of you while you’re also adding in governmental policies of containment, of closing down businesses, where people aren’t able go the gym or movie theater, restaurants or bars. The economic piece, the urgency, that’s real. But in that rush to get it done, I’d rather you wait 48 more hours and get it right than do it today and get it wrong.”
