After a long delay, the controversial thriller "The Hunt" is now in theaters.

Last summer, the movie was described as an anti-conservative slasher film and was shelved following the mass shootings in Dayton, Ohio and El Paso At the time, some feared its political undertones would spark more violence. Even President Trump tweeted about it.

Earlier this week, special guest host Carley Shimkus spoke with Damon Lindelof, the co-creator of ABC's "Lost" and the co-writer of "The Hunt."

Lindelof discussed the controversy that surrounded the film last year and how it's original trailer gave people the wrong impression.

It was a great conversation, but because of time we could not include all of it in the segment that ran this week.

We thought you'd like to hear more from Lindelof. On the Fox News Rundown Extra you'll hear his take on how films both impact and reflect our culture and you'll hear his thoughts on the effect the coronavirus has had on the box-office.
