Assistant to President Trump, Peter Navarro, On Phase One China Trade Deal
Peter Navarro, Assistant to the President and the Director of Trade and Manufacturing Policy, joined the Brian Kilmeade Show today to discuss the U.S. trade deals with China and Mexico/Canada, some of the biggest trade deals in history happening under the leadership of President Trump within days of each other. Navarro outlined the US-China phase one trade deal expected to be signed later today, highlighting the four main parts of the deal: intellectual property protection, forced technology transfer, financial market access, and incremental expenditures across farming, energy, manufacturing and services. Navarro also addresses if Phase two of the China trade deal has already started, how this deal in its entirety is the best defense for manufacturing workers, and if the USMCA trade deal will face a vote today.
