Admiral James Stavridis (Ret), former Supreme Allied Commander at NATO, member of the Carlyle Group, and author of “Sailing True North: Ten Admirals and the Voyage of Character“, spoke with Brian Kilmeade about the U.S. military strike that killed General Qassem Soleimani, head of Iran’s Quds Force. Admiral Stavridis says we are much better off taking out Soleimani because he was fundamentally an evil person who has conducted attacks against Americans and was planning to conduct further attacks against Americans. If he was advising President Trump, Admiral Stavridis said he would have told the President this makes tactical sense but we need a strategy for what happens after we take out Soleimani. Stavridis would have recommended to come up with a strategy that incorporates our allies in the region which would include the Saudis, the Gulf States and Israel.
