Today on the Brian Kilmeade Show Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) called in to discuss how the attorneys representing the whistleblower who filed a complaint about President Trump’s dealings with Ukraine are now representing “multiple whistleblowers” in connection to the case. But with President Trump’s transcript of his phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky now available for anyone to read, does another whistleblower matter? Sen. Cotton doesn’t believe so, saying, “It’s hard for me to see what a second whistleblower would change now that the President has released his transcript.” Sen. Cotton added that he doesn’t see what Democrats see in terms of an impeachable offense and that the media wants to “hype” this. Sen. Cotton also mentioned how Democratic partisans are afraid of both President Trump and Bill Barr. On the topic of President Trump withdrawing American troops from Syria’s border with Turkey early this morning, Sen. Cotton reiterated what he believes are the two most important points in this situation: Keeping Iran from expanding its footprint inside Syria, and making sure ISIS prisoners being held in northern Syria are not released. Lastly on this issue, Sen. Cotton stated, “The details are still unclear, we will be consulting with the administration to see exactly what they agreed to with President Erdogan.” Listen to the full interview below:
