Congressman Michael Burgess (R-TX) spoke with Brian Kilmeade about his opposition to bill H.R. 6, the Democrats’ self-titled DACA fix, which passed the in House. Burgess says the bill does nothing to address the border crisis and give proper funding to the border patrol. He believes House Democrats refuse to budge on the border because they do not want to give President Trump a legislative victory. Burgess supports President Trump using tariffs on Mexico as a tool to stop the flow of illegals across the border. Burgess understands why his fellow Texan, Senator Ted Cruz, and other senators are not in favor of the tariffs but feels if the Senate does not like the President using his powers to impose the tariff then they should get to work on fixing the crisis at the border.
