Congressman Duncan Hunter (R-CA) joined Brian Kilmeade to discuss why he is not optimistic that there will be an agreement to end the government shutdown. Hunter believes the democrat’s hard line stance against funding a border wall or barrier could propel President Trump to a second term. When asked if President Trump should declare a national emergency at the border, Hunter said ,“Absolutely..this is a national emergency,” and went on to add that this is something that should have been done by previous administrations and congress.

Plus, Congressman Hunter talked about reaching out to President Trump on behalf of Special Warfare Operator Chief Edward Gallagher who is accused of war crimes in the 2017 stabbing death of a teenage ISIS supporter.
