“If you want the independent counsel to do his work as the left keeps saying, let’s wait until we get the recommendation before we start screaming about impeachment and everything else…right now what the DOJ has done is gone into everybody who has ever known Donald Trump and they try to find something on him and look if they have done something wrong they should be held accountable, absolutely. But to make the leap and that automatically indicts the President basically or somehow this is proving Russian collusion, I say wait for the independent council report, we will read it and will make a decision on that.”
—Congressman Adam Kinzinger on democrats indicting President Trump based on Michael Cohen’s guilty plea
Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) spoke with Brian Kilmeade about democrats jumping to conclusions about President Trump, Paul Manafort’s guilty verdict and Michael Cohen’s guilty plea. Kinzinger looks back to the democrats reaction during the impeachment of President Clinton, saying “all they talked about is we have to focus on the work of the American people” and contrasts that to democrats today being “focused on derailing the work of the American people” because they are not talking about how good the economy is, not discussing how Mollie Tibbetts was killed by an illegal alien because they feel wasn’t a big deal. On Illinois Senator Dick Durbin and other democrats wanting to delay the Supreme Court confirmation hearings for Judge Brett Kavanaugh, Kinzenger responded, “What does Judge Brett Kavanaugh have to do with what is going on? Nothing.” Plus, Congressman Kinzinger explained why he doesn’t like Erik Prince’s idea of using private contractors in Afghanistan to replace the U.S. military.
