Former Connecticut Senator and Chairman of United Against Iran, Joe Lieberman, spoke with Brian Kilmeade about President Trump reimposing economic sanctions on Iran. Lieberman gives President Trump a lot of credit for the decision. He said he couldn’t imagine we would have a President willing to pull out of the nuclear deal and push for a better agreement while encouraging the people of Iran to rise up and throw out their oppressive regime. Lieberman did feel it was a mistake for President Trump to say he would meet with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani but added that the Iranian people want their leadership to meet with President Trump. On Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez saying she is not an expert on geopolitics when discussing Israel and Palestine, Lieberman said if she is not an expert she sold not talk about the subject until she gets more informed. Lieberman added, there is a battle for the heart and soul of the Democrat party and we cannot have one of our two major parties declare they are a socialist party. Plus, Senator Lieberman on if he were still in the senate his mind would be open to voting to confirm Judge Brett Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court.
