House Majority Whip Congressman Steve Scalise (R-LA) spoke with Brian Kilmeade on why he feels Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau acted inappropriately telling reporters Canada would move forward with retaliatory tariffs. Scalise said this is all part of President Trump negotiating, and diplomacy means you talk things through without holding a press conference. One area where Scalise is not fully on the same page as President Trump is letting Russia back into the G7 saying, “I am not sure if they should let Russia back in,” and went on to add, “ultimately where this should go is let’s get back to ultimately negotiating good trade deals with our friends.” On the Singapore Summit, Scalise believes it is a positive sign that we are starting a dialog with Kim Jong-un on total, verifiable denuclearization.
Plus, Congressman Scalise reflects on the long road back to recovery after being shot nearly a year ago and preparing for the annual Congressional Baseball Game at Nationals Park in Washington DC.
