Senator James Lankford (R-OK) joined Brian Kilmeade to express what he calls the embarrassing and frustrating situation of a looming government shutdown. Lankford said the Senate needs at least ten democrats to join republicans to avoid a shutdown and with the exception of possibly Senator Manchin, the rest of the democrats are voting no to protest DACA not being part of the continuing resolution. Senator Lankford described how he was disinvited from the bipartisan meetings on immigration reform because he wants to have border security tied into any deal on DACA. When asked for a prediction on avoiding a government shutdown, Lankford said he can't imagine a deal will be struck because democrats refuse to talk border security.
