Rep. Jim Jordan: President Trump’s Executive Order Barring Refugees From Entering the US Is Common Sense

“I am fine with the executive order. Hindsight is wonderful. We could always roll things out better, I am not going to disagree with that but look, this is consistent with what we told the voters we were going to do. This is consistent with just good common sense and frankly it’s very consistent with legislation we passed a little over a year ago that 47 democrats supported but President Obama said he was going to veto – and all that legislation said is before we let people come into this country, let’s double check and make sure they are not affiliated with some terrorist organization like ISIS. After all, remember ISIS said they are actively trying to exploit our refugee laws and get bad people into this country, evil people into this country, who are going to do us harm so I just view this as common sense.”

Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) called into Kilmeade & Friends to discuss the fallout over President Trump’s executive order banning refugees from seven countries from entering the United States, whether republicans will be able to work with democrats such as Senator Chuck Schumer, simplifying the tax code and why Obamacare should be fully repealed without keeping any elements of the health care law in place.
