Maureen Dowd: The Trump-Clinton Debates Will Be Amazing Television
“The debate is going to be the most amazing television ever because she (Hillary) is plotting with psychologists to have the movie ‘A Few Good Men’ with Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson where Tom Cruise kind of goads him into having an outburst, they are plotting to do that with Trump and Trump is plotting how to make her look sick. He is probably going to shake hands with her then grab his huge industrial strength hand sanitizer and act like she is toxic so it’s going to be amazing.”
—Maureen Dowd on why the upcoming presidential debate will be amazing TV
Maureen Dowd, columnist for The New York Times and a best-selling author, joined Kilmeade & Friends to discuss the news of the day and, of course, her latest book “The Year of Voting Dangerously: The Derangement of American Politics”.
Dowd explained how her relationships with the candidates have evolved over the years and how her columns have hurt both Trump and Clinton’s feelings to the point that they no longer speaking with her. Dowd said the most amazing thing about this election is we have 2 of the most famous people on the planet and yet we don’t know who either candidate really is. Is Trump still the liberal he was years ago or is he a conservative? And Hillary is once again being reintroduced to the public, something that has been going on for over a quarter of a century. Plus, Dowd explains why the upcoming presidential debates will be amazing television.
