Tennis Star Appeals Two-Year Suspension

Following her two-year suspension for doping, tennis star Maria Sharapova isn’t going down without an appeal.

FOX’s Jared Max has more:

One week since Sharapova was punished by an independent tribunal of the International Tennis Federation, this for doping at the Australian Open in January, the five-time Grand Slam singles champ and former world No. 1 tennis player filed her appeal today with the court of arbitration for sport.

A decision by July 18. Unless her two-year suspension gets overturned, Sharapova will not be able to compete professionally until late January, 2018.
