Kobe Bryant Announces He’s Retiring at the End of the Season

It’ll be the end of an era for one Lakers superstar at the end of the season…

FOX News’ Dave Anthony reports:

Kobe Bryant says his body is telling him it’s time:

(Bryant) “I don’t want to do this anymore, and I’m okay with that.”

He says this season, his 20th, will be the last… A 17-time All-Star, who entered the league straight from high school.

Bryant is third on the NBA all-time scoring list and the fans in LA will miss him:

(Fans) “He’s like one of the greatest of our generations… It’s great that he contributed so much to the Los Angeles Lakers.”

Kobe Bryant led them to five championships, but they are bad this season with just two wins… Tuesday, they play a team that hasn’t won any games, the 76ers are 0-18 and if LA beats Philadelphia, the Sixers will set a new NBA record for worst start ever.
