Lindsey Graham: President Obama Is Ill-Equipped For the Times In Which We Live

“President Obama is ill-equipped for the times in which we live, he doesn’t understand radical Islam. He has no strategy to destroy it, I do.  It’s pretty simple to me. You rally the regions; the Arabs are willing to go because ISIL is coming after their governments and their countries. And you go in and take Raqqa. You take Raqqa away from ISIL and they fold like a cheap suit.

— Senator Lindsey Graham

Senator of South Carolina and Republican presidential candidate Lindsey Graham called in to Kilmeade and Friends to discuss why President Obama isn’t doing enough about destroying ISIL, how he can do a better job with his plan, and what steps we need to take to move forward in the fight against ISIL.

Listen here:

Lindsey Graham on why our enemies want everyone against them: Why does this enemy want Russia, France, America, Britain, everybody else against them?

“Well the truth of the matter is that the enemy is trying to rally the faith of their cause they’re trying to stand up to the infidels of the left. The good news for you and your family is that most people in the region are not buying what these nut jobs are selling. Most people don’t want to turn their daughters over to ISIL, but they’re strong now because our president is weak. President Obama is ill-equipped for the times in which we live, he doesn’t understand radical Islam. He has no strategy to destroy it, I do.  It’s pretty simple to me. You rally the regions; the Arabs are willing to go because ISIL is coming after their governments and their countries. And you go in and take Raqqa. You take Raqqa away from ISIL and they fold like a cheap suit.”

Lindsey Graham responding to David Ignatius saying America is doing more to fight ISIS than we believe:

“This is a joke… If I were the president I would clean house. Get me a new national security team and start over. So this idea that somehow this strategy is working better than we think is a joke. It is not working. It is an aerial campaign that can never deliver the results you need. You need a ground force to go in on the ground and destroy the caliphate, pull it up by its roots. There are 30 to 40 thousand, they don’t have tanks, they don’t have a navy, they don’t have an air force, they’re not 10 feet tall. We can destroy ISIL, we just have a president who is not willing to do it. And at the end of the day if we’re not going to take them on, they’re going to hit us.”
