Steve Weatherford of the New York Giants & Sidney Rice, former wide receiver with the 2013 Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks, dropped by the studio to discuss the issue of head trauma injuries in the NFL and to help educate the public on the effects of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), which is caused by repeated concussions.

Rice spoke about his issues with brain trauma, explaining he has had 8 diagnosed concussions in his seven year career. Sidney said most players want to get back to playing as soon as possible because of the competitive nature of the NFL but in doing so, risk severe brain problems later in life.

Weatherford said people need to exercise their brain with brain games, drink more water and get more sleep.

Both Weatherford and Rice announced they will be donating their brains to science for study to determine the long term effect of CTE. Weatherford said they hope that by donating their brains, they can help doctors identify, diagnose and prevent CTE for all people, not just NFL
