9/11 Memorial and Museum

As you descend into the museum, you overlook Foundation Hall, which sits at the bottom of what was the foundation of the World Trade Center towers. To the left is the slurry wall, built to hold back the Hudson River. Directly in front of the balcony is The Last Column. It was removed from the recovery site on May 30, 2002 and was signed by first responders, recovery workers, volunteers and victims’ relatives.
