BRIAN’S QUOTE OF THE DAY
On the launch of Obamacare…
This has been a disastrous launch and a lot of people are hesitant to put in their personal information on this. Who are these people healthcare.gov? Are they the same people who brought you the NSA? Who are tracking your phone calls?…Can you have privacy if you log on…and you log all that in, is that there forever? A lot of people are hesitant!
HOUR ONE
Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) who is one of the Senate’s leading fiscal conservatives, stressed the importance that major spending cuts must take place before Congress agrees to raise the government’s debt limit. He expressed his complete disappointment with the leadership in our country, noting that everything has become about the next election in politics. He also spoke with Brian about his 2-year investigation into disability fraud, saying that a third of disability claims are phony and his office is working to ferret out those who don’t deserve the money.

Rep. Buck McKeon (R-CA), Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, joined Brian and gave him a first-hand account of what went on at the meeting yesterday with President Obama and other Republican leaders. He said it was a serious and substantive meeting.
Chairman McKeon went on to talk about how Speaker Boehner’s plan got out of whack after the August break. He said because of what went on during August with Senator Cruz (being out there with his ads and his fight on Obamacare) it switched the whole debate and they got sidetracked into that. The debate became on the CR rather than the debt ceiling and it kind of threw everything out of whack!

HOUR TWO
Theresa Payton, former White House Chief Information Officer and author of “Protecting Your Internet Identity: Are You Naked Online?” joined Brian to discuss the kinks in the Obamacare website, including the costs and security. She shared some tips to ease the anxiety such as, never go to the health care exchange from an ad or an email, cyber criminals go where the action is. Also, we can’t stop hackers from hacking into health care but you can put a firewall between that and the rest of your life by using a unique email address for your health care that you don’t use for anyone else.
Brian was then joined by Alisyn Camerota, co-host of America’s News Headquarters & Rich Lowry, editor of National Review and author of, ‘Lincoln Unbound.’ The three discussed the Republicans strategy in this whole budget battle and how Americans view both parties after the government shutdown. They discussed the impact on Americans, Rich noted, “Most people’s direct connection to the federal government is very limited, for most people it’s had zero impact, they don’t like because it’s chaotic and speaks to the dysfunction in Washington, so the shutdown itself is unpopularbut it’s not impacting most people’s daily lives.”
Brian and Alisyn were also joined by Fox News Digital Politics Editor, Chris Stirewalt. Hilarity ensued while the three debated the value of the Noble Peace Prize and the shutdown.
