Brian’s thoughts on the day…
“I think this week the pressure goes on the President…because Obamacare is unworkable from the software perspective. Even if you think the program is great, you can’t log on to it…When the states are in total control they seem to have more success but when they are just going through the Federal Government to sign up for Obamacare, you can’t do it. Which by the way is inexcusable! You’ve had three years to get this ready. What do you mean you are overwhelmed?! You predicted seven million would sign up and now you are overwhelmed when close to that many tried to INQUIRE about signing up!”
HOUR ONE
Brian was joined by some of his Monday regulars—FOX’s Ed Henry & the NY Post’s Michael Goodwin!
Brian talked to Goodwin about Speaker Boehner’s pivot from Obamacare to the debt and deficit. Goodwin thinks that was a good move by Boehner because President Obama was never going to sign any legislation that would defund Obamacare.
ED HENRY added to the discussion by saying there is posturing on both sides and feels we are finally coming to the brink of some sort of crisis but stopped short of predicting how big that crisis might be.
Billy Bush, anchor of “Access Hollywood” and host of “The Billy Bush Show,” joined Brian to discuss his upcoming documentary on Nat Geo WILD, “Chasing Rhinos with Billy Bush” which premieres Sunday, Oct. 13th at 9pm ET/PT. Billy wondered if Brian would be up to the task of protecting and collaring the endangered one-horn rhino, which would include having to take a rectal temperature of the 15 foot, 3 ton animal. The interview also proved why live radio often provides some very unintended, yet hilarious aspects to a segment. While discussing his career, Billy became distracted by a woman who apparently fell down outside his hotel room.

HOUR TWO
Kevin O’leary, co-star of ABC’s Shark Tank and author of “Cold Hard Truth on Men, Women & Money: 50 Common Money Mistakes and How to Fix Them,” joined Brian to explain the importance of using clearheaded reasoning instead of emotions when it comes to money. He explains that the point of having more money isn’t the money itself, but the freedom that money can buy you. He says at a very young age he learned that he did not like people telling him what to do, it wasn’t in his nature and it fueled his entrepreneurial spirit. Now his goal is to give back to the youth by teaching them the importance of how to handle their money. “This book is not about teaching people how to be rich, it’s about teaching survival. I want to help young people avoid making mistakes that will last them their whole life.”

Monday Morning Quarterback: During today’s simulcast with Varney & Co, Brian was given bragging rights for his NFL Picks. Brian is now ahead 5 to 3; he correctly chose the Chiefs over Titans, Patriots over Bengals, but incorrectly picked Giants over Eagles.
It was a poor showing for Team Varney, as they came up with zero, thanks to Charles Payne’s picks on Friday.
HOUR THREE
Brian was joined by two of his DC favorites—James Rosen & Bret Baier— who offered up their first-rate insight on where we stand in the world!
Bret suggested that we might get more intelligence about the terror raids that took place over the weekend in Libya and Somalia. BRET SAID the raids suggest these groups might have been working on active plans to attack American assets in some way, whether in America or overseas, which is why such an effort was made to take these guys alive.
JAMES ROSEN talked about our relationship with Iran. Rosen thought Wendy Sherman’s (Under Sec. of State for Political Affairs) comment that deception was part of Iran’s DNA was extremely revealing because it suggests how guarded and wary the US and its allies have to be when negotiating with Iran!
