Surprisingly the Department of Defense has classified Catholics and Evangelical Christians in the same category as Al-Qaeda. And a Pentagon training document also brands Conservative organizations as a Hate Group.
In more than 1,500 pages of documents obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request, a U.S. Army training instructor told a Reserve unit based in Pennsylvania that Catholicism, Evangelical Christianity, Al Qaeda, Hamas, Sunni Muslims, and the Ku Klux Klan were examples of extremism.
This really doesn't make sense to me because our soldiers who are willing to sacrifice their lives to preserve the peace and security of the United States, regardless of their faith, should not be put in the same category as those who threaten the peace and security of our country.
Everyone should be entitled to their religious belief and the depth to which they engage in, should be without prejudice.
It is only ones actions that should be the subject of scrutiny.
