BRIAN'S QUOTE OF THE DAY
Brian on Ted Cruz and Obamacare: "As much as I respect Senator Ted Cruz, he feels as though he was voted by tea party supporters in Texas to fight for this issue. I don't think he thought out the end game. I think it's admirable and will help his career. I don't think it helps Republicans. I think they almost look as if they're sore losers."
DANNY DANNON, Israel's deputy defense minister, weighed in on whether he thinks Iran is changing at all. "We hear the talk, but we haven't seen anything actually being done in Iran," Dannon explained.
He went on to comment about Obama's speech claiming that the world is "more stable than it was five years ago." "I cannot say it's more stable," Dannon exclaimed, "Look at what's happening in Syria, there's a massacre in Syria. We see what's happening in Egypt, we see what's happening in Lebanon. So the Middle East is not more stable, the only stable thing is ."
Former Republican Congressman LT. COL. ALLEN WEST talked about Ted Cruz's 18-hour speech about Obamacare being passed. West disagreed with Brian and thought that Cruz did the right thing by speaking for so long. "I think he's drawing attention to a lot of the concerns that people have," West exclaimed. "Ted Cruz is bringing all those points up to people that they need to start paying attention to and understanding... I'm glad that he's doing that. I'm absolutely glad."
SUZANNE SOMERS, actress and author of I'm Too Young For This! The Natural Hormone Solution to Enjoy Perimenopause, talked to Brian about her new bestselling book. The legendary actress explained that she was inspired to write her latest book after three years of "losing herself." "Perimenopause is the ten years before you go into menopause," Somers explained. Later, the duo switched topics and Somers explained to Brian why women like to have so many decorative pillows. "They tell us that in the magazines!"
FOX's Chief Congressional Correspondent MIKE EMANUEL explained to Brian that he is absolutely shocked at Ted Cruz's 19-hour-long speech. He compared Cruz to Senator Rand Paul's official filibuster on drones earlier this year and said that Paul gave up "quite a while ago compared to Senator Cruz." Emanuel also said he is sure the Twitter buzz that has picked up on this is also probably energizing Cruz.
FOX News Correspondent DOMINIC DINATALE talked to Brian about the way President Obama has been addressing issues. "His political correctness has gone too far and he pussyfoots around the issues with a lot of these people. For example, the bombing in Pakistan where nearly 85 Christians were killed during a suicide bombing; he said, 'people died,' he should have addressed it as 'Christians were targeted.' DiNatale went on to say that it seems as if Obama has lost his power by addressing issues this way and doesn't seem as strong.
America's Newsroom co-hosts BILL HEMMER AND MARTHA MACCALLUM joined Brian and Dominic in talking about the president's role of "Peacemaker-in-Chief." DiNatale thinks Obama needs to soften the Iranian public up before he reaches out. Later, Brian, Bill and Martha debated whether Ted Cruz is only helping himself by speaking for hours on end.
