BRIAN'S QUOTE OF THE DAY
Brian on Obama's "Style Points": "Style points. You know what that's saying? Governor Christie has a way of getting things done but his style is very abrupt and direct. It rubs people the wrong way. That's style. But when you are confused, that's not a style. That is something to avoid in any company and certainly any country."
New York Post MICHAEL GOODWIN talked to Brian about Putin's big win with Syria, where Assad now has one week to tell us about all the chemical weapons and six months to give them all up. Goodwin said that this is a complete sham and has no chance of being successful. "It guarantees that Assad will stay in power in Syria. And our policy for at least two years has been Assad must go. Now, we're effectively partners with him on this venture," he explained.
FOX's Chief White House Correspondent ED HENRY talked to Brian about President Obama's interview with George Stephanopoulos. Henry agreed with Brian that not a lot of new information about Syria was revealed during the interview, but he thought it was interesting the Obama confirmed for the first time that he has exchanged letters with the new Iranian president.
ARTHUR HERMAN, historian and author of Freedom's Forge, talked about the latest news coming out of the shooting in the Washington Navy Yard. Herman also weighed in on Syria and said that it is clear that we have an American policy that is "off the tracks," which the Russians are using as an opportunity to create a new Middle East power relationship.
BRET BAIER, anchor of Special Report with Bret Baier, talked about the shooting that occurred so close to him in D.C. Baier revealed the breaking news that there are at least two shooters who may or may not be down. He also said that there have been at least 12 shot, but is sure that number will change.
