JAKES, bishop of The Potter’s House in Dallas, Texas, talked to Brian and Gretchen about how President Obama has changed the way we talk about race. “I think it has brought to the front burner a more open mind to discuss race in a way that we would have avoided being politically correct before,” Jakes explained. He went on to say that he now thinks the conversation is “hopeful.”
