[AUDIO] Ed Rollins on Obama’s Race Speech and Liz Cheney’s Run for Senate
ED ROLLINS, GOP strategist talked to Brian about President Obama’s speech on race this past Friday. Rollins said he thinks Obama’s speech lowered the tone of what needed to be discussed at this particular time. “For our President to basically try and put himself in the role of the victim, I think to a certain extent diminishes somewhat the whole dialog,” Rollins exclaimed.
He went on to say that he thinks the President could have set a different tone: “He could have said, ‘We need to come together. We do have a judicial system. We need to have a sensitivity to how we each think.’” Later, Rollins talked about Liz Cheney deciding running for the Senate. “Liz is certainly an extremely qualified person. She’s had great experience in Washington,” Rollins said.
