HOUR ONE

Today on Kilmeade & Friends, former Congressman LT. COL. ALLEN WEST talked to Brian about his tweet that stirred up some controversy this week about women in Ranger and Navy SEAL training.

“WOMEN SHOULD NOT BE IN THOSE CLOSE-QUARTER COMBAT UNITS,” West told Brian. “I think the Navy SEALS have a graduation rate of that’s like under 40 percent.  So are we going to change the standards to accommodate peoples’ warped sense of equality? We don’t need to do this with our most elite warriors.”

Mike RoweMIKE ROWE, former host of Dirty Jobs, talked about his current project, the Mike Rowe Works Foundation.  “In another time, we valued another image of work; we valued another understanding of labor; and we celebrated those things. We don’t anymore,” Rowe said.

He went on to explain that on Dirty Jobs, dozens of people he highlighted were multimillionaires and many more were inventors and small business  owners.  “We didn’t talk about that because that really .  The show was about celebrating a willingness to get dirty; but under that, was a willingness to learn a new skill, a willingness to reinvent yourself, mostly, a willingness to take a bite of crap sandwich that goes around and pay your dues.

FOX’s Chief Congressional Correspondent, MIKE EMANUEL, talked to Brian about all the action behind the scenes and in front of the cameras!  Emanuel weighed in on Senator Marco Rubio’s push for immigration reform. “If the Senate passes something overwhelmingly bipartisan, it’s going to be a tough spot for Boehner and the conservatives,” Emanuel exclaimed.

SENATOR JOHN MCCAIN talked to Brian about the President’s peace talks with the Taliban in Qatar.  McCain asked, “How can you negotiate a peace deal without the presence of the president of the country that you’re supposed to be engaging in negotiations to settle?” He went on to explain that the talks in Qatar are very questionable.  “I have extreme skepticism, and I want to know why we haven’t demanded as a precondition for talks that the Taliban will respect the rights of women,” McCain said.

HOUR THREE

America’s Newsroom co-hosts BILL HEMMER AND MARTHA MACCALLUM weighed in on the extreme tension between Vladimir Putin and President Obama.  Hemmer explained that the majority of the tension lies in a lack of support from Russia for two major issues.  “They won’t go along with the chemical weapons charge or even the allegation that chemical weapons have been used; and they’re not going to go public saying Assad should step down,” Hemmer exclaimed.
