HOUR ONE

New York Post Columnist MICHAEL GOODWIN talked to Brian about his latest column, Blundering O out at second. Goodwin described President Obama’s new Syrian policy as a “pathetic Hamlet act.”  “He has simply disappeared,” Goodwin exclaimed, “The president is nowhere to be seen except on the fundraising trail.  It’s very much a kind of absenteeism… He doesn’t get involved in the big issues that are riling the world or that are upsetting the country.  He’s just off fundraising.”

FOX News’ Chief White House Correspondent, ED HENRY, talked about the upcoming G8 Summit and the tension between President Obama and President Putin.  “This meeting today between Mr. Obama and Mr. Putin looks a little bit like the old days of the Cold War,” Henry exclaimed. “I guess the New England Patriots might want to talk to President Putin about the Super Bowl ring!”

HOUR TWO

Journalist, columnist and writer for The New York Post and The Washington Times, CHARLES HURT, tried to make sense of President Obama’s Syrian policy.  Hurt weighed in and said, “I think that the real problem here for President Obama has been just real simple politics, and that’s what’s guiding everything.” Hurt went on to say that there is a lot of gray area with Obama, which is working to the president’s disadvantage.

LANDON DONOVAN, forward for the MLS’s Los Angeles Galaxy and Team USA’s all-time leading scorer, talked to Brian about how it feels to be back in the game.  Donovan also talked to Brian about what soccer has been like without David Beckham.  “It’s a little ,” Donovan said. “There’s certainly differences on and off the field, good and bad, but I think in the end we’re grateful for the six years that we had with him and it’s just a new era.”

HOUR THREE

BRET BAIER, anchor of Special Report with Bret Baier, weighed in on why President Obama’s era of government is so challenging.  Baier said that you can point to a number of different things that make the Obama administration much different than previous administrations, “but President Obama was elected to be different,” Baier said.

Chief Washington Correspondent, JAMES ROSEN, talked to Brian about President Obama’s trip abroad and why there is such tension between Obama and Putin.  “The case that the United States has been trying to make to the Russians for some time now is that if you don’t wake up – if you don’t get off your fanny – you’re going to awaken one day to the very unpleasant prospect of an al-Qaeda state in the heart of the Middle East… And that won’t be good for business for the Kremlin.”
