@FamousDave Tells @kilmeade His All-American Success Story!

Famous DaveFAMOUS DAVE ANDERSON, founder of Famous Dave’s BBQ restaurants, talked to Brian about how all of his success started.  He explained that his passion for southern and barbeque foods came from his father, a Native American of the Choctaw tribe in Oklahoma.  “He used to haul my mom down south every other weekend ’til she learned how to cook southern! So that’s where the passion for southern foods and barbeque came from,” Dave explained.

Dave also told Brian how he learned to cook: “I learned how to cook from my mom making Indian fry bread at Indian Pow-wows.” He went on to explain that when you’re cooking for tourists at an Indian pow-wow, there’s a lot of people that come at you all the time, “so you really to be on the top of your game.  You gotta be able to make the food, you gotta be able to cook the food, and you gotta serve it – all with a smile!” Famous Dave explained.
