Joe Perscio, distinguished historian and author of Roosevelt’s Centurions: FDR and the Commanders He Led to Victory in World War II, talked to Brian about why he decided to write this book. Perscio said he had always been curious about Roosevelt. “Here was a man who had never worn a uniform for a day in his life, but he’d always been very interested in the military,” he explained.
