HOUR ONE
Psychiatrist and FOX News Medical A-Team member Dr. Keith Ablow talked to Brian about PTSD amongst veterans and how those who are suffering with it should be treated. “The power of positive thinking will not get you through PTSD,” said Ablow. He explained that solely trying to think positive is a form of burying your feelings. “You need an empathic listener to take you through those buried memories and bring them out and look at them.”
Wall Street Journal columnist Dan Henninger talked to Brian and Dr. Ablow about the psychology of America moving forward in the recession. The trio also talked about the criticism from the left about the drone strikes, and how President Obama is using them in his military strategy.
Henninger said he is using the drones as a form of standoff killing so he does not have to send more troops in. This allows Obama to reduce the defense budget and reprogram the money into domestic spending instead. “I’m convinced that’s why he nominated Chuck Hagel as Defense Secretary. It has little to do with defense strategy and everything to do with reducing the defense budget and getting it over to domestic spending,” Henninger said.

HOUR TWO
Rep. Shelly Moore Capito (R-WV) talked to Brian about President Obama’s leadership to fiscal sanity. “I couldn’t believe his solution to the problem was to raise more taxes,” Capito exclaimed. Capito also gave Brian insight into how House Republicans will handle spending cuts.
Senator Lindsey Graham gave Brian his thoughts on President Obama nominating Chuck Hagel for Secretary of Defense. Graham said that Chuck Hagel is “a fine man, but it was a poor performance.” “What kind of signal are you sending to the Iranians, to have a Secretary of Defense that’s not informed about our policy regarding a nuclear-armed Iran?”

Sportscaster on Imus in the Morning, Warner Wolf, weighed in on all the latest sports news with Brian, starting with the Super Bowl. Wolf did not like the last play of the game, and said that the referee should have called interference. Wolf also weighed in on the ongoing performance-enhancing drug use in baseball.

America’s Newsroom co-host Martha MacCallum stopped by and weighed in on President Obama’s plan to raise taxes even more. MacCallum also talked about the hypocrisy within the use of enhanced interrogation techniques, and how many individuals who were against using them during the Bush administration (such as Vice-President Biden) are now supporting the use of them.
