It Pays To Clean Out That Glove Box
I don’t know about you, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they found the Loch Ness Monster in my car’s glove box. Nah. No water in there.
But there’s everything else.
Dried up baby wipes (unused, thank you), melted gum, coins, old registration and insurance cards, maps, and MAYBE the car’s user manual.
No gloves, funny enough.
Sometimes it pays to clean out that glove box.
Just ask Gordon Carnese of Portland, Oregon. He cleaned out his glove box and found several lottery tickets, including one he bought in December of last year.
You guessed it. It turned out to be a winner. A big winner. $2.6 MILLION worth of winner.
WOW! And it was still good, thankfully for Gordon. He claimed his winnings and chose the 26 annual payments option.
That boils down, after state and federal taxes, to just under $70,000 a year. Nice!
Not a bad little reward for cleaning out that glove box.
And now if you’ll excuse me, I have some drawers to go through.
Hey, is that a Snickers bar? Nope. Just a dried up sparrow. Wait. Can’t be.
What IS that thing?!?!
Think I will play the lotto tonight.
